Unfurnished Apartment

Unfurnished apartment means an empty property. Most people who intend to occupy the property for a long period of time would prefer an unfurnished apartment. Families with kids and specific lifestyle needs would also opt for an unfurnished apartment. It's usually the three and four bedroom apartments that are let out unfurnished. A person who intends to occupy an unfurnished apartment should also consider the cost of furnishing the apartment before fixing the deal. Most of these unfurnished apartments do not include appliances, storage fixtures and cupboards. They don't come with beds, dining tables, sofas, chairs or couches either.

A landlord who lets out an unfurnished apartment usually collects a deposit amount equal to up to two months rent, in addition to the first month's rent, thus totaling three months' rent. But a landlord renting out a furnished apartment can collect a deposit amount equal to three months' rent in addition to the first month's rent, making it a total of four months' rent. Unfurnished apartments are less expensive than furnished apartments.

A landlord who lets out an unfurnished apartment need not worry about the wear and tear of appliances. From the tenants point of view it could be said that in case of damage to appliances, he need not worry about the cost of replacement. While moving out, he also has the option of selling off his furniture so he can recover some cost. A tenant in an unfurnished apartment would be more satisfied with the furniture as he picks it himself according to his needs. The pros and cons are many, but it should be said that most students and short-term tenants would prefer ready to occupy furnished apartments.
