Rental Agreement Lease Contract

Both the landlord and the tenant have to enter into a rental agreement lease contract with each other. Instead of the landlord and tenant we can use the words lessor and lessee.

A rental agreement and a lease are more or less similar with minor differences about time and money. Leases are prepared for a set time period, usually for a year. A lease is an essential contract between the landlord and the tenant. A rental agreement is usually made on a month-by-month basis, and is renewed routinely at the end of every month, as long as it is existent.

It makes more sense to settle for a lease when the length of stay is unquestionably long. This will permit you to stay on in the property for a long period of time without being victim to a sudden increase in the rent. On the other hand if you already know that the stay will be for a short while, it would be more practical to enter into a rental agreement. Rental agreement lease contract each have their own set of pros and cons and is usually at the judgment of the person entering into it.

A lease is a contract between the tenant and the landlord. A lease can be for a small period or a long period; it can be in writing or vocal. Nevertheless, a lease that will stretch beyond a year must be in writing in order to be made effective by law. Sometimes, the words rental agreement are used to explain a short or oral lease for which rent is regularly paid once a month and the tenancy can be ended on a 30-day written notice.
