Hawaii Rental Agreement

The Hawaii Rental Agreement can either be a verbal agreement or one written on paper. However, the norm is of a written, legal contract which can be put into effect by law and must be complied with by both the tenant and the landlord. Once the lease has been signed, he/she has to pay the landlord the rent for the term of the lease. The lease period in the Hawaii rental agreement may vary; it may be monthly or annual. It is important to read the rental agreement watchfully before signing it.

The following things must be settled on by both the landlord and the tenant:

A. What sum of rent is to be paid, the place and way it is to be paid in, the due date for payment and the fine against for late payment.

B. Any exchange of work which makes up for the amount of rental payment in money terms. (Example: gardening work for reduced rent).

C. The tenure of the Hawaii rental agreement (weekly, monthly, or annually).

D. Any special facilities made for individual tenants.

Some other facts that are part of the Hawaii Rental Agreement:

Rent is paid every month. It is paid at the start of the next month and is never paid in advance.

Both landlords and tenants must be prepared to carry out their respective duties, rights or repairs.

It is assumed that both the landlord and tenant stick to all building and housing laws concerning health and safety.
