By organizing and interacting, together with political action, we can change both public perception and the way government treats our industry. National Apartment Association : National Association of Home Builders National Leased Housing Association NLHA A trade association representing all major participants - private and public - in the multifamily rental housing industry. NLHA is a vital and effective advocate for 600 organizations, including: developers, owners, managers, public housing authorities, state housing finance agencies, local governments, investment bankers, attorneys, accountants, architects, non-profit sponsors and syndicators involved in affordable housing. The American Association for Small Property Ownership: The American Association for Small Property Ownership is a 501 c3 non-profit public policy organization concerned with the impact of government regulation on buying and selling, owning and managing rental property. Through their campaign to Restore Common Sense to Regulation, they are organizing a national grass roots network of property owners and their associations to redefine the role of government and the degree of regulation of real estate investment property at the federal, state and local levels of government. The National Multi Housing Council Provides leadership for the apartment industry on legislative and regulatory matters, and promotes research and the exchange of information to enhance quality, affordable apartment living.
